Renowned for its status as one of the most advanced, reliable, and high-performance products within the liquefied cryogenic gases industry, this pump requires a heightened level of expertise and precision for its servicing.

With a track record of delivering over 7,000 pumps worldwide since 1953, first through our JCC legacy product line, then as Nikkiso, Nikkiso CE&IG is the premier leading manufacturer of cryogenic submerged motor pumps. These pumps have numerous applications in the expanding industrial gas market, such as LNG, LPG, LEG, LN2, Liquid Propylene, Liquid Ammonia and various other liquefied gas applications.

Tasked with the disassembly and thorough inspection of this exceptional pump, our dedicated team in Doha, Qatar, ensured the examination of its components to guarantee optimal performance and safety. The pump has a weight of nearly 9 tons and operates at temperatures below -100 degrees Celsius and pressures reaching up to 100 bar in handling Liquid Ethylene.

• The disassembly process involved carefully removing the pump from its submerged position, disconnecting the electrical and mechanical connections, and transporting it to the workshop.
• The inspection process involved checking the pump casing, impeller, shaft, bearings, seals, and motor for any signs of damage or wear.
• The replacement process involved sourcing new parts from Nikkiso Cryo, Inc., and installing them according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
